James Henry Arruda, 2012, shot for People by Greg Miller
My good friend Melissa Butler introduced me to Greg Miller’s work when she interned for him about a year ago, and ever since I have become a huge fan. Greg’s portrait work is one of a kind, candidly staged and captured with an 8x10 camera; Greg is surely a champ at what he does. He just updated his website with new work, so if you have an hour or so to kill, I recommend you check it out here.

Portrait by Phoebe Chung
Phoebe Chung is a friend of mine and is also absolutely drop dead talented when it comes to portraiture. She just entered the PDN Faces contest, which you can learn about more here (and vote for Phoebe here!).

Paul John, shot for the Conference by Dustin Werbeski
Dustin Werbeski, whom is an amazing rollerblader as well as a skilled photographer, was put on assignment by the Conference to document the Powerhouse for one year. Dustin put together a 160 page online zine, entitled Switch, featuring blade photos, candid shots, as well as studio portraits, like this one of Paul John, which happens to be one of my favorite blade portraits since the days of Daily Bread. You can view the magazine here.
